The flexible membrane is usually installed under the battens to provide thermal insulation and to prevent water and dust penetration in the roof space.<\/p>\n<p>Sarking is installed either under the main roof material in a building or sometimes between the wall cladding and wrap materials. Whether it is installed on your roof or between your wall cladding, they both serve the same purpose.
