Building Confidence: Book Expert Construction Inspectors
Houspect offers a range of Construction Inspections and provides independent and expert reports for owners and investors of homes and renovation projects in Greater Sydney and regional NSW including Southern Highlands, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle/Hunter and surrounding areas.
Building a new home is an exciting time for home owners, but it’s important to understand that it’s a complex process that doesn’t always go exactly to plan.
Houspect provides a number of stage construction inspections which are undertaken at various stages of your build. If you want reassurance and independent expert advice that your home is being constructed to an acceptable standard, then you would benefit from Houspect Construction Inspections.
Our Houspect Construction Inspections are timed in accordance with standard construction stages, or at any time you need help.
Our qualified building inspectors prepare a comprehensive and independent construction inspection report describing any issues or defects. It is designed to help you understand and communicate with your builder the problems to be rectified.
Your report will include photos of notable items so that you can see what issues exist. It also contains a glossary of technical terms to help you understand the report.
A Houspect Construction Inspection report can also be used if a dispute arises but it is designed to help avoid disputes by helping the builder address problems during the construction process.
About the Houspect Building Inspector
All Houspect Building Inspectors are licensed builders with many years’ experience in the industry. Our inspectors will provide professional, independent and unbiased information on the progress and condition of the construction.
What Does a Construction Inspection Cover?
We check that all completed work is in accordance with the building plans, the National Construction Code, applicable Australian Standards, the guide to standards and tolerances and that the workmanship is completed to a good industry standard. Our inspections can commence right from slab down stage through to final handover.
If you are near the end of your build and want expert assurance that the job has been properly completed, then a pre-handover building inspection will determine if your builder has completed your home construction and final finishes in accordance with your plans and workmanship is to an acceptable standard. Any issues identified, provides the builder the opportunity to rectify the problems prior to you moving in.
