At Houspect, we provide all ranges of New Home/Build Inspections and prepare independent expert reports for owners and investors of new builds and renovation projects in Greater Sydney and regional NSW including the Southern Highlands, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle/Hunter and surrounding areas.
It is an exciting time, building a new home or renovating, but it’s also a complex process that doesn’t always go as smoothly as expected.
All Houspect new home/build inspections can be undertaken at various stages of the build. If you want reassurance and independent expert advice that your new home is being built within industry standards, then you would benefit from these inspections and reports.
What Do the Reports Provide? – See our Welcome Pack PDF Here!
As a new home/build owner, these comprehensive and independent inspection reports lists and includes photos of all build issues or defects.
The reports are to help you understand and communicate with your builder during the construction and any problems that require rectification to avoid any future disputes arising. They also contain a glossary of all technical terms used.
About the Houspect Building Inspector
All Houspect Building Inspectors are licensed builders with many years of experience in the industry. Our inspectors will provide professional, independent and unbiased information on the progress and condition of your new home/build.
What Does a New Build Inspection Cover?
We check that all completed work is in accordance with the building plans, the National Construction Code, applicable Australian Standards, the guide to standards and tolerances and that the workmanship is completed to industry standard.
Our inspections can commence right from slab downstage through to the final handover or at any stage in between.
Even If you are near the end of your new home/build and want expert assurance that the job has been properly completed, then a pre-handover building inspection report will determine if your builder has completed your build and final finishes in accordance with your plans and workmanship is to industry standard.
Any issues identified provide the builder with the opportunity to rectify these prior to you moving in.
