Investigation/Problem Property Inspections

Houspect is available to investigate problem properties for home owners, landlords, commercial investors, property managers and others in South Australia. Our investigation inspections provide a professional and expert report completed in accordance with Australian Standards.

An investigation inspection is exactly what its name refers to, an investigation to assist you in identifying or confirming that there is a problem with your property. Be it an old building, a new build or a renovation to an existing building, problems can arise at any time.

You may be aware of what the problem is, for example, it may be obvious that the workmanship on the tiling of your new bathroom just isn’t up to scratch or it may be a hidden problem, causing cracks to form in the foundation of your property. A Houspect Investigation Inspection can assist you in identifying or finding a solution to the problems around your home or investment property.

What Does the Report Provide?

A Houspect Investigation/Problem Property Inspection report is an independent document reporting on any problems identified on the inspected property.

Our qualified building inspector will assess the problem in question in order to identify the cause and suggest how to repair the problem and/or the next steps involved to rectify the issue. The report may suggest that a further invasive inspection be carried out to find any hidden problems. The report will describe any issues and possible solutions in easy to understand language and where possible will contain photos of notable items to show what problems exist.
