Before buying a second hand car we’ll have it inspected by trusted third party transport agencies. How much more important it is to have a building inspected before purchase. While it need not cover every aspect of a building, the report should cover the areas of main concern. Although buyers can nominate a specific area or condition they need to have checked (such as rising damp), in the most part a standard building inspection report will cover:
- Internal and External roofing
- Roof frame
- Internal and external walls
- Patios, balconies and stairs
- Guttering and down-pipes
- Pools, pergolas and paving
- Internal and external windows and frames
